spring break, but not spring weather

The week from Hell is over! Thank goodness. I think my history presentation went well, considering we were crunched for time. I got an A on my paper and my midterm, so I'm not as concerned about my grade anymore. Now that the presentation is over, the most stressful part of that class is behind me. Yahoo! I also got an A on my psychology exam--the highest grade in my class, in fact! And now, I am on break. I get to sleep in my bed and semi-relax for a week. Breakfast in the morning with Ryan and my gram, musical with Sarah tomorrow night maybe? Baby shower Sunday. Owen on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Maybe visiting Sarah Friday night? Buying bridesmaids dresses one night this week? Hopefully seeing Zachary next weekend. So much to do, so little time! But at least I am home :)

I got the hottest leggings last night at Urban Outfitters, and they were quite the bargain. Now I must hang them on my wall and let them remind me not to overeat so I can fit into them hehe

i really need to meditate right about now.

I am trying very hard to relax at the moment, but I am finding it to be quite difficult. I had my history midterm today, stayed after class to discuss my group's presentation for next week, and still didn't leave right away because my professor came up to me and continued talking about the presentation and my part in it. He also had to throw in the fact that I did well on my paper that he has yet to give back to the class yet. He said I could "take comfort in that it was a really good paper" and if I needed anymore help with this presentation I "shouldn't hesitate to ask him." Okay, Professor. Thanks and have a nice day.

So this presentation has been the only thing on my mind lately, because I am expected to discuss the American government and its role in regulating the environment for approximately seven minutes in front of a class of 25. Seven minutes, in my opinion, is a very long time to discuss something that I don't feel I will know much more about even after I do the readings concerning it. Which is what my professor must have sensed when he said I could ask him for help. The fact that this coming weekend happens to be Owen's first birthday and his baptism and Kelly's birthday and the Mardi Gras dance at school all does not bode well for my preparation for this presentation. Just one more week and I will be done with my major concern for history, my psychology exam, and my Spanish oral midterm. It cannot go by soon enough.

my love is a poet, and i didn't know it

So this is a little old, but it was a poem from my love and it is just so darn good!

This holiday season will be really fun.
I know that our hearts will be beating as one.
With fir trees and tinsel and mistletoe, too,
It's making this winter look much, much less blue.
When finals are over we'll be really happy.
But first we will probably take a quick nappy.
When we wake up I will gaze in your eyes,
And see where we are; it's so weird how time flies.
The deep, glassy brown of your eyes are so pretty.
They look like the twinkling lights from the city.
I can't wait to cuddle with you in the bed.
We'll spoon and we'll fork and you might give me head! :-O
I'll love you this Christmas with all my heart dearly.
I'm trying to show you my love very clearly.
And Hanukkah, Chanukah, Hanukah too,
However you spell it...I'll always love you.

It is so cute. Too bad the mail is horrible and I didn't get it until after winter break. Oh well. I still thought it was worth sharing.

love forever...kate
